How long has it been between cleaning your makeup brushes?!For the most hygienic & flawless application you'll need to clean them regularly...I recommend daily cleaning of personal brushes if you have breakouts/acne or Rosacea.
This will minimise the spread of bacteria, reduce skincare residues & dead skin cell build up in the bristles.
Weekly cleaning of personal brushes is sufficient for normal skin.Follow along with these 5 easy brush cleaning steps, at night, ready for morning use xYou'll need ~
•Organic Shampoo
•Organic Conditioner
•Cotton pads
•Clean hand towels
•Rose or Lavender Essential oil
•Sink, plug & running water
•Liquid Isopropyl alcohol/swabs Or 'makeup brush cleaner'1)Massage the Organic hair Conditioner into the dry bristles of your makeup brushes, with your clean fingers.The oil content of the Conditioner will begin dissolving any stubborn makeup residue. Rinse the bristles of each brush under warm/hot running water set aside on a clean handtowel. Repeat this conditioner step if needed.2)Half fill a clean sink with warm/hot water. Massage a pea size amount of the Organic shampoo into each of the brushes damp bristles. Dip & swirl the bristles only, on the palm of your hand in the water, forming clear bubbles. Rinse bristles under running water.
Don't immerse the entire brush in water, we don't want any glue to deteriorate over time. If you look after them well, brushes can last many years!3)Gently squeeze out excess water from the bristles on a dry handtowel.4)On a bench, leave your brushes to air dry for a few hrs (or over night) lined up on a dry hand towel, with the bristles over hanging the edge, so air can circulate & your brushes keep their shape.5)Once brushes are completely dry, soak 2 cotton pads with Isopropyl alcohol or 'brush cleaner' & 1 drop of Rose or Lavender Essential oil.
Lightly wipe over the bristles of each brush with a soaked cotton pad. With a second soaked cotton pad, wipe down the handles of each brush.
Keep your brushes in a clean makeup bag away from other products & dustSee you soon at your next appointment!
